We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent mechanical skills to repair and maintain plant and equipment. The successful applicant will be required to utilise a range of trade skills to provide a customer focused service. This role is based in Kurri Kurri and will report to the Service Manager.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Service and repair both onsite and within a workshop environment
- Diagnostic ability for diesel engines & pumps (we will train you if you have not had this direct experience before)
- Ability to process reports and paperwork
- Completion of customer work to high standards and within established timeframes
- Provide product technical support both internally and externally
- Attend to customer emergencies and breakdown diagnostics
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- High energy, tenacious attitude and a drive to succeed
- A minimum trade qualification as a Mechanic/Fitter and a current driver’s license
- Expertise in a relevant and related industry to ensure you meet our customers technical and commercial needs
- An ability to learn quickly, think on your feet and be flexible
- Discipline to manage your own time and travel commitments – this is an autonomous role
- Be comfortable using a computer including systems for reporting requirements
- Be able to build relationships quickly and be customer focused in a service environment
