Allight is honoured to be presenting the new SSLED504K-12 lighting towers for Debswana Diamond Mines in Botswana. Debswana Diamond Mines operate four diamond mines; the locations include Orapa, Letlhakane, Damtshaa and Jwaneng. Together with the assistance from our dealer, GT Auto Clinic, based there, we have provided units across all four sites.

So, who is Debswana Diamond Mines? They are one of the world’s leading diamond producers by value and in volume. Established in 1969, it is owned in equal shares by the Government of the Republic of Botswana and the De Beers Group.
In the delivery of this project, Allight’ aim was to create product awareness and show visibility, interest and support. We are excited to report that our efforts have paid off with the Letlhakane location. Fun fact – this is the first location in Africa to become the proud owner of two SSLED504K-12 lighting towers!
When it rains, it pours as the good news doesn’t stop here. Letlhakane are looking to procure a further two to four lighting towers of the same specifications. The Jwaneng mine site currently owns eight of our older SS24K-12 units. Negotiations are underway for a further procurement of at least four SSLED504K-12 units.

Our dealer, GT Auto Clinic, is well known and respected in Botswana and amongst the various Debswana Diamond Mines sites. From the beginning stages, we worked strategically to ensure we were the preferred supplier for the end-user. We sold the advantages of our new LED products and outlined how much they would be saving.
We are confident that the good news will continue into the immediate future. Once we deliver the units to the Jwaneng and Letlhakane, they will act as excellent references points for the Orapa and Damtshaa sites. This is only the beginning!
